Founded in 2008, AMADPOC consider itself as “a pioneer institution conducting and streamlining policy-oriented research, training and capacity building and facilitating policy dialogue events on various topical issues on migration and their interrelationship with development in sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries.”

AMADPOC exists to spearhead research on issues of migration-development nexus which results in the boosting of the capacity of African countries and development partners in the corridors of national governments, inter-governmental cooperation and research institutions, collaborating with national governments, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the private sector, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the civil society.
