In an increasingly interconnected world where diversified cultures, religions and philosophies are seeking to forge new or re-negotiate existing relationships, Religious Education (often called RE) has gained attention and has been placed at the heart of political debates and educational agendas of nations.

Far from being an established question, teaching Religious Education requires continuous adaptation to changes prompted by new social, political, cultural and identity configurations across the globe. On 9th and 10th December 2021, ATW’s Assistant Anglophone Editor, Dr Bosco Bangura will join a group of eminent scholars to explore the current challenges, developments and perspectives that have emerged from teaching Religious Education. The conference is free of charge and welcomes anyone interested in exploring the theme.
