SATS is proud to announce the 2027 full PhD scholarship and research internship for emerging South African theologians interested in Theology and Praxis in Pastoral Care and Christian Counselling. The opportunity includes a fully paid PhD scholarship, as well as experience in research assistance. SATS is inviting proposals that integrate biblical and theological understandings of transformation with practical expressions in pastoral care and Christian counselling in the African context.

In the past two years, Hannes Wiher has published two valuable books on cross-cultural understanding. In multicultural contexts, how can Christians engage with people from different cultural and religious backgrounds with love and sensitivity? The first volume offers models for understanding the other and the second volume focuses on the religious other.

The Lamin Sanneh Research Fellowship is named in honor of the late Yale Professor Lamin Sanneh (1942-2019), a pioneer in the study of World Christianity. He served on the Board of Trustees and maintained an office at the Overseas Ministries Study Center, where he visited daily to enjoy tea and conversation. He also served as the Contributing Editor for the International Bulletin of Mission Research.

During the recent ACTEA General Assembly and 50th Anniversary, held in Addis Ababa from 4 to 12 March, the delegates voted to restructure ACTEA into three branches: an Anglophone branch, a Francophone branch and a Lusophone branch. Here is the official announcement.
